Hi, I’m Jamie Harrison, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of EverHope Counseling Center, based in San Marcos, Texas. I provide professional counseling services for individuals (ages 6 to 99), couples, and families in San Marcos and the surrounding communities, offering both in-person and virtual therapy options.

As someone who has lived in San Marcos for over 20 years, I’m deeply connected to this community and passionate about providing accessible, high-quality mental health care close to home. I have over four years of clinical experience, including practicum and internship training, and have been a fully licensed counselor for two years.

I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, anger, and major life transitions. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in real-life application, blending CBT, DBT, and talk therapy to help clients better understand themselves, manage emotions more effectively, and make steady, sustainable progress.

My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. I strive to meet each client where they are and tailor therapy to fit their unique needs.

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy baking, caring for my plants, and spending time with my family.
